2004-2005 Biennial Report

The Summary of the high light event of Peninsula Lodge for last two years

Among the usual year round activities, the Peninsula Lodge has participated many of Grand Lodge functions.

We are continue our regular program as in the past because it is working to the betterment of our members.

The Peninsula Lodge has been able to organize most of their events so that they are self-supporting and not a drain on the treasury. For example this year's picnic with around 250 people attending, but this event was self supporting, The members donate the money including prizes for the door prizes. The members, their family and friends are welcome to attend at no charge. Many city officials attend our picnic. After paying all expenses, we end up a profit .

We continue the programs that we are proud to participate. The Peninsula Lodge is very active in participating in city government. Presently we set up a network with the City of Mountain View to solve the problems concerning Asian. For example, if any department of the City received a complaint from whatever source concerning Asian business, the City would first notify our club. Our club would meet with the concerned parties to get the correct information. Using mediation method of solving dispute, we were able to head off many misunderstanding matter that may very well turn into a big problem. The result of this project, we are gaining many members from the businesses. Many of our lodge members held various position as commissioner, committees and also this year, Henry Gee is the past President and continue to be the Director of Mountain View Downtown Central Business Association. Nancy Gee also is the member of Director of Downtown Central Business Association.

With internet communication, our lodge send out news from Grand Lodge and local lodge to its members, via email and sometime hard copies.
