Chinese American Citizens Alliance Congratulates
Rose Li — 2015 Miss Chinatown USA

Rose LiSAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Chinese American Citizens Alliance congratulates Houston’s Rose Li on being crowned the 2015 Miss Chinatown USA at the Palace of Fine Arts on Saturday, February 28. A 19 year old freshman majoring in business marketing at New York University (NYU), Rose becomes the second consecutive Miss Chinatown Houston to be named Miss Chinatown USA, following the footsteps of 2014’s Karen Li, a Houstonian now attending Harvard University.

With Houston Lodge Pageant Coordinators Tammy Su, Betty Gee and husband, Dr. Kim Gee and Houston members, Dorothy and Larry Yee in the audience, Rose proudly represented Houston with an outstanding display of beauty, elegance, poise and eloquence that has become a trademark of recent Houston contestants. For the talent portion of the contest, she performed a traditional Chinese dance, “Butterfly Lovers.” Among the week's activities following the Pageant will be a luncheon hosted by the San Francisco Lodge for the Miss Chinatown Court and a presentation to Rose of a traditional “gum pai,” as well as the highly anticipated Coronation Ball attended by numerous dignitaries and the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade. No doubt proud parents, Charles Li and Lucy Lu will make their way to the Bay Area soon to join in the festivities.

On behalf of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance National Lodge and San Francisco Lodge, National President Ed Gor, Executive Vice-President Davace Chin and San Francisco President Warren Seeto congratulate Rose Li for her dedication to excellence and extend our sincerest best wishes for continued success as the 2015 Miss Chinatown USA. Congratulation, Rose!
