Lawrence Gu

National Treasurer

A California native, Lawrence Gu has been involved with the Chinese American Citizens Alliance since he was a high school participant in the L.A. Lodge Youth Council. The Chinese American Citizens Alliance has played an important role in his personal development through its youth programs and by granting him a college scholarship. In the many years afterward, Lawrence has tried to find ways to give back through various passions he has cultivated in other aspects of his life.

In high school, Lawrence founded a new C.A.C.A. youth chapter in the San Fernando Valley. Upon college graduation, Lawrence joined the San Francisco Lodge and has since served in various functions, including as Compliance Officer, National Representative, and Education Committee Chair. Longer term, Lawrence is passionate about enabling basic financial literacy to all and connecting with others through his love for classical music.

Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a CFA charterholder and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Lawrence works as an investment professional in San Francisco.
